Separable Verbs in German: an Exercise

German Separable Verbs Relaxing Exercise Cover NEW

Here is a short exercise for you to practice two separable verbs in German: einatmen and ausatmen.

You may have noticed these two verbs in a blog post earlier this month, and to help you learn them even better, you'll use them in this exercise.

This may be the most relaxing German separable verbs exercise you'll find on the interwebs.

Here are the instructions in German. Scroll down to the flower to read the instructions in English.

Above is a short audio for you.

First you will hear «Ich atme ein, ich atme aus» three times.

Ich atme ein. = I breathe in.

Ich atme aus. = I breathe out.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly with the sentences.

Then you will hear a short piece of music. Continue to breathe in and out. Think to yourself "Ich atme ein, ich atme aus" as you do this.

Repeat this exercise as often as you like.

Would you like a short reminder of this exercise?

Above there is a 4"x6" card. You can download and print the card by right-clicking on the image.

Above you'll also see a background image for your phone. You can also download and save that image by right-clicking (or tapping and holding on the image).
