Of course, there are many more than 5 reasons, however here are 5 of those reasons to read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.

I read it several years ago, and several of my clients have read it, and they keep recommending it to their spouses and friends.

It is one of the very few books I have read which moved me so deeply I had to stop reading at some moments and cry or simply take in the words. There is a vivid memory I have, sitting in my zero-gravity chair on the balcony beneath the Lindenbaum in a previous apartment, and the wave of an emotion that swept up in me at one particular point in the book, and it moved me so deeply in part because I read it in German.
