There are other...

6 Jahre! 6 Years of GermanWithNicole.com

I've never forgotten important dates like my best friend's birthday, but this year I started forgetting a few things.

6 Jahre GermanWithNicoleOne of those things I forgot? The 6-year anniversary of this business. July 1, 2019 was the SIXTH year anniversary of GermanWithNicole.com!

When I began, I had no idea what this might turn into. I started teaching one client online and then within a relatively short period of time, I had enough clients that it turned into a real, part-time job (and I was working...

Herzlichen Glückwunsch Jessica!

Taking a German proficiency test, like the ones offered at the Goethe Institute, is a big deal. I've helped several clients prepare for their tests and I'm so excited to tell you that another client has taken and passed the B1 test!

Juhu! Hurra!

Will You Join the German Klub?

Are you like a lot of readers here who have said things like this?

I've tried all these apps, but I just can't get anywhere.

That software was really expensive, but I just don't understand it.

or maybe the worst...

I've taken 2 semesters of German but I can't speak it at all.

To me this is utterly unacceptable. You can't learn a foreign language by reading the same words off a screen over and over again. You'll never understand the grammar without a sufficient explanation AND actually...

Ich bin zertifiziert! - I'm certified!

zertifiziert certified German teacherIf you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll know that I have been working on an official certification for teaching German as a Foreign Language. I started at the end of 2015 and got really behind so I ended up spending much of last summer sitting at my computer, working through all the information. It was a tough slog.

Sechs Module - Six Modules

The course has 6 different modules and each module was the equivalent of a 120-page book plus exercises. The exercises ranged from simple...
